Alica sat in her room quietly, she was now resigned to the fact that she would never have, her Johnny, to herself as her mother had promised a week ago. She looked up at the sound of a voice as it whispered to her, "Alica, you've been a bad girl. You know what you have to do to make amends." Alica nodded as the door opened.

"Hang on Johnny," Roy yelled down the elevator shaft to his trapped partner. "I'm calling for help.
Johnny silently prayed that hopefully it would be anyone other than Station 51. Lord let it be anyone but 51's. If Chet finds out about this, I'll never be able to live it down.

Hank Stanley and Mike Stoker were both stopped their arguing with Joyce as the station tones went off. "Station 51... Man trapped in elevator shaft at Rampart Hospital... Time out 13:45."
Stoker fired up his beloved engine as Captain Stanley climbed into the seat beside him. Stoker glanced at his commanding officer and asked quietly, "Do you think she bought it?"
"Of course she did," Stanley smiled ferally at his engineer. "Hook, line, and sinker."

Tom Dwyer and his temporary partner, Bellingham, had just called that they were available when Dwyer heard the distinctive three beeps come over the HT he was holding. He listened to the call for Station 51. His head whipped around towards Bellingham, "Do you believe that? Someone's trapped in the elevator shaft right here."
"Has Gage been released yet?" Bellingham asked.
"You don't think that it's Johnny who's caught in the elevator shaft do you?"
Bellingham just nodded in the affirmative to his temporary partner.

Alica felt a slight prick in her arm as she cautiously made her way out of her room. She turned and ran down the hallway.
A few minutes later, a nurse who was doing rounds noticed Alica's room empty. She went over to a wall phone, "Security, we have a patient who's escaped... Yes she is dangerous--She's Alica Lane."

Alica ran with security right on her heels, towards the roof. She made her way out the door, and felt her whole world spin. She ran towards the ledge and climbed up, while one of the security guards yelled at her, telling her she had nowhere to run.
Her mind seized on that one phrase, no where to run. She looked down as she saw her father's engine pull up close to the emergency entrance. Then she jumped, and landed with a bone crushing, sickening thud on to the roof of Squad 51.

Chet Kelly heard the thud of something striking metal. Both he and Captain Stanley looked toward the squad, both seeing the body of a woman laying on top of Squad 51.
Chet looked away and violently became ill, after seeing all the blood oozing from the body.
Marco looked over at the Squad and crossed himself. "Madre de Dios," he muttered under his breath.
Stanley flinched as tears came to his eyes, he recognized the battered body. His daughter was now dead. He felt the reassuring hand of his engineer on his shoulder. "If you want to go ahead and let it out," Mike commented, thinking of his own son Mikey.
Stanley shook his head, "No we're here to do a job. Let's go."

The man walked into the ER entrance. He looked like an older version of Johnny Gage, but yet a younger version of Jack Gage. He walked up to the information desk, and cleared his throat as Sharon Stoker looked up. "Yes sir, may I help you?"
"Yes you may," he pulled out a card and handed it to her. "I'm looking for my uncle, Jack Gage."
Sharon read the card, Alex Masters, Private Investigator. "Mr. Masters, the last time I saw him, he had just gotten on an elevator heading to get his son who was just released today."
"Thanks Miss," Mr. Masters replied as he headed over to the waiting area to wait for his uncle and cousin.

Harriet decided that since she couldn't win at getting Jack then she'd go after the next best thing, and she pressed the button getting the elevator car moving once again.
Jack pressed the emergency stop button again. "Harriet, your truly a monster! What did I ever see in you?" Jack pressed the button to get them going back down to the lobby, and he stepped off the elevator spying his nephew.
"Alex," he called as Harriet noticed another, almost carbon copy of Johnny Gage step towards Jack Gage.
"Not another one," Harriet whispered as she fainted right there in the lobby.
Alex moved to step over to see if he could help Harriet, when Jack grabbed him by the arm. "Don't bother, she's not worth the effort." Jack replayed the tape recording he had made for his nephew.
"You mean, if you had really had a heart attack she would have let you die?"
"Oh don't look so shocked Alex. Harriet is worse than a wolf in sheep's clothing, she's a viper in a baby's bed."

Alex finally got to business after Jack Gage explained that Johnny was having too many accidents in the hospital. It seemed to Jack that someone was out to get his son and he wanted to know who.
Alex set about his investigation, which included the now deceased Alica Lane's background. That's when he found that she had a failed marriage in her past to a man named Terry Lane. Terry it seems was a user, but when the Vietnam war broke out he was called oversea's.
Alica had divorced him while he was oversea's, and according to a few buddies of Terry Lane's he had swore vengence.
