Five........,
Dr. Early had a twinkle in his eye, Dr. Brackett strolled over to get himself a cup a coffee. As Brackett poured his cup, Roy looked at both men and asked the burning question that he had to know the answer to.
"Is Johnny gonna be okay?"
Dr. Early's mouth twitched and then he smiled, the first real smile since Johnny was brought in. "Johnny's seat belt saved him, he's being sent up to the OR right now. A few of his ribs were fractured and one lacerated his liver, but it looks like he'll recover nicely."
Roy sighed in relief, "What about his head injury?"
Brackett laughed, "Roy how many times have I told you that, that partner of yours has a hard head. Well this time it paid off. He's got a concussion, which will make him grouchy as a bear, but he'll live."
Brice entered behind the two doctors after making the phone calls. He forgot he had been holding his breath, and blew it out with relief. "That's a relief," he muttered to himself. "Uh Dr.'s Early and Brackett, what about Gage's feet?"
"He'll have to stay off them completely until new skin begins to grow back. We don't want them to get infected, cause if infection should occur and we can't stop it...." Doctor Brackett let his words hang in the air.

In another part of the hospital....
"Well Dixie," called Dr. Joyce Potts, one of the OB/GYN's. "I got your results back, and there's no other way to tell you." Dr. Potts began grinning, her smile reaching her shimmering green eyes. She pushed a lock of red hair out of her face. "Dixie, your pregnant."
"I'm WHAT??!!" Dixie stammered, flabbergasted. "How?" she asked dumbstruck. "What am I gonna tell the father," Dixie asked shellshocked, as she sank back into the chair.
"Go ahead and tell the father, by the way who is he? You know I can keep a secret Dixie."
Dixie knew that Joyce Potts could, Dixie and Joyce had both been nurse's in a MASH unit over in Vietnam.
Dixie looked stricken, then looked up at Joyce. A faint trace of a smile crossing her lips.
"His name is Henry, and he's a Captain with the fire department."
